WYOO is it too early for a G&T???
Its 16.05 here is sunny east sussex.
I have been working hard in the garden and now have to water,
I mentioned to (not so) DH that I would like a G&T when I did it and he was horrified.
Is he a numpty???

Is 50 minutes really going to make that much of a difference?? (5pm being the usual time to break the gin out lol). Would he have been horrified if you'd wanted a nice cold long glass of pimms?
He's a numpty lol. I hope you had your drink!

I always thought you had to wait until 5pm ... until I joined the working world and we had drinks at lunch time ... so 16.05 is after noon and therefore ok!!!
Hope you got your drink

Waiting is for numpties. 4pm on a sunny saturday afternoon is a perfectly acceptable time for a G&T (although I wouldn't touch G&T with a bargepole)
I bet he'd be miffed if you clock-watched at a barbeque and made him wait til 5pm for a beer.
However I have a rather lax attitude to daytime drinking. I used to have pimms for breakfast before college, and the only two jobs I had involved heavy drinking. But it's not like you were planning to get rat-arsed among the shrubbery, so what does it matter?
Just asked M when an acceptable time to have a drink is and his reply was 'When you wake up.' And neither of us have had a drink on yonks! If a pair of tee-totallers approves, it must be alright, right?
