WYOO Belching in public

Is this disgusting? Or just a natural thing? If your kids do it, would you dissuade them, or just laugh? Is there a difference between a nice discreet "burp" after a large drink of fizzy pop and a huge barking belch given with gusto?

It is disgusting but there is a difference between the two.

i am trying to teach Lucy to say Pardon me after she burps because there are occasions when one pops out that you weren't expecting. If I am at home do big belches but say 'pardon'. If I am out and need to I kind of let it go in my mouth and then let it out discreetly (iyswim?) and again say pardon me.

I have to say my biggest burps tend to be after fizzy pop but they sound more like quacks than burps.

Total hypocrite here, I hate to hear any kind of burping, especially in a public place, but then when we are at home I think nothing of a quieter burp in front of the family.
DD thinks that farts are burps as well

Discreet, into your hand or under your breath, no big deal.
