This is home. Here, I saved you a seat. Want a biscuit?
Have to admit, I felt... disloyal?... at first. But this is a totally different forum, and it is possible to enjoy all different places. I'm just glad I can keep up with my friends here. You get used to the differences soon enough, and I have to say - this place is very light hearted and I have FUN here, I enjoy visiting, which makes a lovely change.
How're you feeling btw?

pg hormones,
This can be home but so can the "other" site, I do split between the two (but don't tell Marley/Hushy!!)
Make a pact to post on 5 things a day and then it will feel more like home.
Oh and make sure they are on my boards, then I look popular!!!

Re: AIBU to feel odd about posting here?
I'm not sure YBU as I still feel a little odd posting here especially as we can't really talk about the stuff on the 'other' board. But, hey ho.
I've posted on a lot of forums in my life, it's kind of nice that I know most of the posters here and it's also nice to get to know new people with similar tastes to me...or not as the case maybe!

Re: AIBU to feel odd about posting here?
Does feel a bit strange tbh.
I am glad you brought it up, as I thought it was just me.
Although I also know that I really get affected by these things, and am trying to see all the positives and make myself at home here.
I HOPE it's not unreasonable!
I have deleted more than I have posted the last few days - I am struggling to find the confidence that I ahve anything to say - I think it's all tied up in how I feel about "the other place" and it's hard.

Am i sensing a number of people who did/do frequent other areas? but are clearly using new user names? If so then no yanbu things are dire but this is doing great and will take off well as word spreads

Having absolutely no clue about the reasons behind this forum being created or where the "other" place is, to be it seems a bit unreasonable but that's with the ignorance of a lack of background. I've just come to this forum by finding it in Slinky's blog so I haven't any idea why there should be any issues posting here.
To me it's just another forum, if you see what I mean?

Re: AIBU to feel odd about posting here?
I don't think YABtotallyU ... but this forum feels quite 'homey' to me now, lol.
I'd hope *people* felt comfortable posting here, but I can sort-of understand if they don't.
For the benefit of the newcomers, yes there was another forum a fair few of us used (and some still do). I created the first WYOO there, it was my 'baby' which ended up with 500 users and 12,000 page views per average day. However, I ended up flouncing (spectacularly!) from the forum which hosted it, and created this version of WYOO because I'd miss my wee group, lol.
I changed my username as I fancied a change after so many years of using 'Hushy'. Some of the people from the 'other' forum changed their usernames too when they joined here.
I can understand why this forum doesn't feel like home yet, it's very new (2 weeks I think?) and the layout is very different. However, I like it, lol. I like not having to kow-tow to anyone, heh!
There are lots of members who I don't know from anywhere else, which was the whole idea! I'm hoping that as time goes on we'll become even more popular than my original WYOO group was/is! It can be done! Word of mouth will be our biggest draw, so I really appreciate any feedback on site improvements which might encourage people to invite their friends. Everyone is welcome, young or old, male or female.

I am feeling quiet at home here. Every day I am going to the other place less and less. I think that WYOO was just what I needed to break free from the other place as I was getting bored and disheartened by it.

YANBU. I was very attached to the 'other place' too. However, I don't feel disloyal posting here. I would only feel disloyal if I gave up on the other side simply because of here, which isn't the case at all. I had many many issues with the other place and that is why I have reduced my postings.

Re: AIBU to feel odd about posting here?
Its really funny that, on the other board I have always been much more of a lurker than a poster.
I think maybe for me, the "newness" here is less imtimidating than the cliqueyness (its a new word - alright!) of the other place.
I really enjoy posting here and some days have even forgotten to go check the OP
