I think she's talking nonsense. Both my boys have some camouflage clothes. It really suits my younger son's olive skin and hazel eyes so I love to dress him in it. And I'm a very peace-loving person!

My girls wear camoflaje. Not sure what that woman would make of that then.

J has worn camoufalge gear in the past. So have I. I do wish people would stop sonfusing fashion choices with lifestyle choices!
According to my ex - I still dress like a dyke - WRONG - I dress how I have always dressed (more or less, I have toned down a tad since my student days) and it's because I happen to like the clothes I wear, or, am, at the very least, indifferent to them, which is always better than outright hatred!

I don't like seeing children wearing it top to toe, but the odd pair of trousers or a jacket is fine!

It's fine IMO.. my daughter wears camoflage stuff at least once a week...
Lal has a couple of camo nappies (what? this is me talking.. what else did you expect?) and a pair of trousers that are still too long...
I don't deck him out with a matching AK47, but G can strip, clean and reassemble one..

they banned camoflage at my boys Alistairs and Pheonix's school because it glamerises violence and war.
pink camoflage for girls is just stupid

I hope they don't ban it in my son's school. I've bought him a lovely coat for next winter in the M&S sale and it's camouflage. It's lovely and was a real bargain. It doesn't glamourise violence and war - it's a coat FFS!

WTF???????
Who comes up with this crap? Grrrr.
My daughter has had camouflage trousers (well the Next sort of girly version of it at any rate!) but I don't see the problem with camo on anybody. I don't think it glamourises anything. IMO - if anything - it is showing support for our troops!

Absolute rubbish. Wearing camouflage clothes is no more glamourising war than putting a boy in pink is going to make him gay, which is another absolutely ridiculous claim I've heard made these days.

I don't have a problem with it. Rather that than a slogan t-shirt with something offensive on it! I don't wear it myself and have never bought it for my dd, but that's because I don't like it, not because I think it glamorises violence or war.

Re: Boys wering camoflaje clothes
I don't think these days camo designs are so much about the military any more - it is just a pattern and design like anything else. I actually have a pair of toddler camo trousers for dd1 and she looks mega cute in them. I have no idea why someone would think it was inappropriate - as another poster said it is much nicer than offensive slogan t-shirts.
Of course for some people the design is linked to the forces but to say it galmourises war is a very strange outlook imo.
